Aţi auzit probabil foarte des vorbindu-se de programe sau interfeţe “intuitive”. E o temă de discuţie extrem de populară în IT (şi nu numai). Programatorii ajung să fie acuzaţi de rea-voinţă, obtuzitate sau mai rău.

În primul rînd, cred că se exagerează cînd se atribuie sentimente procesului de elaborare de interfeţe. Desigur, rezultatul poate deseori sugera [...]

No, it's not a joke. Last weekend I successfully installed Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 on my Linux Debian system with minimal headache. It works via the Wine emulator, and now I can easily test website rendering in IE in addition to Firefox or Opera.

Darin Fisher implemented a new attribute (ping) for the HTML link tag, which would instruct browsers to notify a certain URL of the link that was just followed. This is based on a WhatWG proposed specification and was only implemented so far in Firefox test builds.

A very specific JavaScript security vulnerability, which was supposed to achieve remote code execution on Explorer, manages to freeze Firefox as well. Kudos to inter-racial bugs.
